The roller derby revival continues to grow and is reaching more and more countries. This story in news.com.au hypes a new league starting up in Brisbane with their inaugural bout this week. And it looks like the ladies in Melbourne have a team as well [Grind Girls MySpace] Can’t be long until the first international bouts take place.

We will be focused on the underground art scene in the Northwest but will also be touching on any pertinent national or international art news that catches our fancy. In a recent post they highlighted the Ladies Only opening at Jem Galleries [map] in Vancouver March 9th. Sin In Linen is sponsoring the show which will run throughout March.

It seems like the Sockit Wenches took home the title in the championship bout for Season 2 just yesterday, and now the first bout of Rat City’s third season is here already! The season kicks off at the Everett Events center, one of the best venues around for watching derby. If you haven’t been to a bout before, this is a great opportunity to get introduced to the spectacle that is live derby. Tickets are available online or at the Everett Event Centers Box Office. All of the details are here on the Event Center Website.

Dreams really do come true! Ralphie eventually got his BB gun. The Whos got their feast back from the grinch. And now Evil Ninja got his Sin in Linen Viv Sheets. and they look fabulous in his beautiful exposed brick loft. It was back in December that we noticed SIL at the tippy top of his wish list. Between the stylin pad, new panther tattoo, and sultry bedding, its just a matter of time before Ninja has to start fighting off the ladies.
