New Henna Tattoo Bedding

New Henna Tattoo Bedding

New Henna Tattoo Bedding

Sin in Linen’s new print is inspired by Henna hand tattoos. In collaboration with tattoo artist Arnie Santos of Avalon Tattoo in San Diego, Mandala Henna sweeps you away to a middle eastern influenced dream scape. Calming and sensual fractal shapes recall lightly faded henna tattoos on sun soaked skin in an exotic land. This pleasing motif swirls coffee toned mandalas on a tea stained background, pairing powerful bursts of sun-like orbs floating amongst flourished line work. View Henna Tattoo Bedding

Halloween home decor tutorial – Giant Cobwebs for your Porch

rope-spider-msplb0197_vert

Check out this super-easy Halloween home decor tutorial from Martha Stewart’s website! It’s a great way to add some high-impact creepiness to your home in a hurry and on a dime! There are literally 3 materials & 2 steps, find them below.
__________________
CREEPY COBWEBS
Create a simple and impressive giant cobweb out of white cord — and don’t forget to dangle a plastic spider nearby for the full effect.
____________
MATERIALS
Thick white cord
Large screw eyes
Small screw eyes or removable adhesive hooks
_______
STEP 1
Make vertical spokes: Insert a large screw eye at desired starting point. Mark 4 to 6 endpoints opposite screw eye and insert small screw eyes or apply removable adhesive hooks at endpoints. Measure distance from starting point to each endpoint and cut lengths of thick white cord slightly longer than each measurement. Tie each length of cord first around large screw eye and then at endpoint.
_______
STEP 2
Make horizontal lines: Cut 4 to 6 more lengths of cord, long enough to span web horizontally at several points. Starting with the shortest piece, tie cord to vertical spokes near top of web, knotting at each spoke. Trim excess. Repeat with remaining lengths of cord, increasing distance between pieces as you move from top to bottom.

For additional impact, add a couple of Bat Spiderweb valance panels from the Halloween collection at sininlinen.com! http://ow.ly/pynTQ

Tell us a little about yourself:

I’ve been working for Sin in Linen for 5 years now. I love my job. I have always loved bedding and home decor and interior design. My personal home decorating style is a mix of 70′s, mid century and The Addams family. I also like to use a lot of natural decorative elements like rocks, plants & wood. However, I throw in a touch of creepy with a real animal skull and a bone saw. Last year around Halloween I did a tour of my house for Halloween Home Decorating Ideas.
